SATA and eSATA Performance
Website: HD Tach 3.0
We tested the SATA and eSATA performance with an Intel X25-M SSD to maximise the use of the SATA connections to show up any core differences in raw performance.

MSI 790FX-G70

Asus M4A79-T Deluxe
-
Gigabyte GA-MA790FXT-UD5P

DFI LANParty DK 790FXB-M3H5
MB/s (higher is better)
SATA performance is still very good at over 200MB/sec, however it has still taken a dip compared to other boards we've tested which were consistently over 210MB/sec at least.
USB 2.0 Performance
Website: HD Tach 3.0
We tested the USB performance with an Intel X25-M SSD and a SATA to USB adapter to saturate the USB bus in order to look for any performance drops.

On the plus side, the DFI does afford a touch more USB performance than both the Gigabyte and Asus, however it still can't match the MSI for over 30MB/sec.
